To many fans including myself, the appearance of Skywalker is not about how many people he kills, but the accuracy of the facial expressions and the gentle attitude that he has when he is at his best in the original trilogy. Without Hamill's input, it would have been possible to nail the attitude, the charisma, and the amazing person that is Luke Skywalker. In recent years, using CGI to make aging actors appear younger has become a popular trend, particularly evident in the Star Wars franchise. I personally felt like it was Mark Hamill talking, and we could actually see Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker after Return of the Jedi. Hamill’s voice is so on point, even the voice, the way he moves his lips, and the face. This time though, the performance is very well done. After growing up, he eventually became part of the fight against the Galactic Empire, having a key role in its downfall in 4 ABY. In Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Peter Cushing and Carrie Fisher were both brought to life, with their likenesses on the faces of other actors. Luke Skywalker was a human male Jedi who grew up on Tatooine. Of course, this is not the first time a character has been revived or rejuvenated in Star Wars. This a challenge for the Star Wars visual effects department. Mark Hamill’s performance as Luke can be seen throughout the entire scene, on a whole new actor. The way Luke fights with the Dark Troopers, even shocking Moff Gideon, as if he knew who had come to Grogu's aid. For Luke’s appearance at the end of Season 2 of The Mandalorian, actor Max Lloyd Jones helped to physically bring the character to life on screen, while Matt Ruggetti served as Luke’s stunt. Hamill appeared as the digitally de-aged young Jedi. Din Djarin and Grogu return in The Mandalorian season 3, but some may wonder where Luke Skywalker is during their new adventures. One of the greatest moments within Luke’s appearance is when he defeats all the Dark Troopers, as it shows a fully trained Jedi cannot be intimidated by such things. Mark Hamill’s cameo in the season two finale of The Mandalorian was described by the actor as something that he will cherish forever. Season two of The Mandalorian showed fans what a fully trained Jedi really looks like, and how extremely powerful Luke was.
